There are a few ways to get rid of OSCAR fast. This is an elite enemy who patrols the new Black Ops 7 Zombies maps. Being able to kill it is crucial to completing the Astra Malorum Zombies easter egg.
OSCAR is a powerful enemy that has unique abilities. Even if it's not your goal to complete the entire map, you may still find yourself in a difficult situation if two paths cross. It's useful to know how to deal with it.

Finally, you have two options to deal with the new addition. You can either sneak around to try and avoid it, OR take it on head-on by killing OSCAR in Bo7 Zombies. It's the second option that is more exciting and will complete the Easter egg. You can earn a Shiny Trinket to use on a Ravager. The risk is higher, however, because this robot foe will not be defeated easily. How to best kill OSCAR on Black Ops 7 Zombies.
OSCAR doesn't have a weakness to any Black Ops 7 zombies elemental mods. His HP bar isn't very large, but he's constantly spawning UFO-like robots, which grant him immunity to damage until the drones are all destroyed.
Brain Rot can't affect the UFO drones. The UFO drones are also vulnerable to Brain Rot, so you can shoot them down using any ammo or regular bullets. However, it will take a lot longer. You'll need to kill the drones fast when you're surrounded with zombies.
OSCAR begins to roam the halls and rocky paths of Astromalorum the moment the game starts. It will become a nuisance faster than you think as you explore. OSCAR is a creature that should be avoided, but can be killed with the correct tactics.
Start by focusing your attention on the UFO drones, leaving it exposed. This will help you slowly bring down its HP the old-fashioned method. It's hard to keep up with the zombie horde when you have to manage so many things. Not only does its laser attack hit hard but it also buffs zombies nearby to run faster.
OSCAR is a tough opponent and the conditions surrounding him are also tough. The best way to deal with it is to first avoid it, until you get enough points to activate a trap.
The map is littered with traps, but to lure OSCAR into damage you must get it to follow you. Apogee Annihilator has been my fastest method to kill OSCAR. This trap is located right along the path that leads out of Astra Malorum's observatory. It is hard to miss. As you search for OSCAR lure it in by memorizing its locati0n.
When OSCAR is close to the ApogeeAnnihilator, you can pay 1,500 essence points to activate its Astronomer Rockets attack, which rains explosives in the surrounding area. If you keep it close to traps, it can be taken out in one shot. If you are lucky, you will have removed a large portion of the HP bar. Then you can either repeat the procedure or finish off the job using bullets.
It will also drop a Shiny Trinket tactical - pick it up and keep an eye out for a green eyed ravager hiding in barricaded off areas (which appears as a white dot outside of bounds on the mini map). You will also receive a Shiny Trinket tactic - grab it and be on the lookout for a Green Eyed Ravager hidden in barricaded areas (which shows up as a small white dot outside of bounds). Feeding the Shiny Trinket 3 times to the Ravager in different areas/rounds will make it your cymbal-clanking ally.
You can also explore Astra-Malorum a little more after removing OSCAR. But he will eventually respawn, and begin his patrols. Prepare to repeat this procedure. If you want to get the Easter egg, you will need to kill this guy three times. |
