Arc Raiders is "aware" that there are problems with matchmaking, and Embark Studios will be working to fix it: "Our Team is Investigating"

There are always issues when maintaining a game such as Arc Raiders. Currently, some issues lie in matchmaking. Embark Studios, the game's developer, is aware that some players are experiencing these issues. A hotfix may be on its way.
Ossen Juli, the Arc Raiders community leader, made this announcement on the Discord server of the game. Julia writes: "We know that matchmaking problems are happening to some players again." "Our team will investigate and share updates as quickly as we can."
Posts on Twitter indicate that waiting times are longer than usual. "The wait for a game has been between two and three minutes in the last few days," says a user. "10-minutes wait times, matches only with me in them for at least two of the last three games," says another tweeter.

These queueing time aren't very long. But for a match that has been extremely smooth since its launch at the end of October, this is even more frustrating. "I back out after two or three minutes to re-queue. One poster wrote: "I assumed that I was getting queued at the lobbies with a friendly atmosphere."
Despite the fact that people seem to think re-queuing solves the problem, this is still an irritating inconvenience. It also takes away time which could otherwise be used to play the actual game. Arc Raiders received a great reception when it was launched a little over a year ago. But those players could easily move elsewhere. Fortunately, Embark will be on the case and solutions should be rolled-out in a short time.
Embark Studios plans to continue working on Arc Raiders so long as the game is still popular.
Arc Raiders was a huge hit in 2025. Only the Clair Obscur Expedition 33 with its record-breaking, award-winning success can be compared. Embark Studios newest title has dominated the holiday season shooter conversation in a period where Battlefield made its strongest entry in years while Call of Duty...released a game. Arc Raiders winning the Game Awards' Best Multiplayer Award cemented this place at the top.
Robert Sammelin explains in an interview with PC Gamer how the studio has a ten-year plan. "Our ambition is to maintain this game for the longest possible time." It is an active game."
He continues, "We'd like to keep it alive for as long a possible, provided that players continue to engage with it, enjoy it, and can see how it's developing in a positive manner."
Sammelin explains that he believes games such as this will change based on feedback from the community. He also explains why it's important to keep things fresh and not just focus on what players like, but to add "things" into the mix which offer new challenges.
You shouldn't worry about Arc Raiders being a victim of other multiplayer games that were released in the live service era. (RIP Rumbleverse. You were a true one.) Sammelin states, "I don't think we have to stick with one route. There are many other options." Time will tell whether we decide on a specific path. But we do have a plan that we are following for a while." |
