NBA 2K21's images get a facelift in its next-gen edition. The lighting is better, and the faces look much more lifelike. A few of the characters in cutscenes still look somewhat rough, but the players themselves seem better than ever.As far as mechanisms, 2K21 doesn't reinvent the wheel with its next-gen edition. However, the developers used this opportunity to add some more unique animations into the game. Including some new animations for alley-oops, which can be incredibly satisfying to pull away. I also felt like dribbling and ball movement were just smoother overall when playing Xbox collection X.
One of the more welcome adjustments in next-gen 2K21 is the addition of the G League. Now, when coming from high school, players may choose to take the traditional path to the NBA and go to college, or input the G League. While faculty will provide the players with greater exposure and lovers, the G League will help them enhance their skills quicker, with increased progression on badges and skills.
