Azodiisobutyronitrile, AIBN for short, with the chemical formula of c8h12n4, is soluble in organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, ether, acetone, petroleum ether and aniline. In case of thermal decomposition, nitrogen and organic cyanide containing - (CH2) 2-c-cn are released. Slow decomposition at room temperature and rapid decomposition at 100 ℃. It can cause explosion, fire and flammability. Toxic. The released organic cyanide is harmful to human body.
