Pre-operation Checks Check if the engine fuel, oil, and coolant are sufficient; Check the insulation of the Ground Power Units output cable plug, the reliability of the output cable terminals, and whether the polarity of the power supply is connected normally; Check if the battery voltage is sufficient and if the terminals are secure; Check if all parameters on the display are showing normally.
2. Unit Startup Set the main power switch to the ON position; Click the unit control button, the engine motor starts running, the engine starts and enters idle operation mode, at this time the engine speed is approximately 800 rpm (if the engine startup is unsuccessful, wait for 1 minute before making a second startup, if it fails more than three times in a row, look for the cause); After the engine starts, observe if the oil pressure indicates normally, if not, stop the machine for inspection immediately; According to the type of power supply to be used, adjust the unit power generation mode on the display to the corresponding mode; After preheating the unit for a period of time, press the unit control button again, the unit will switch to the rated speed operation mode, at this time the engine speed is approximately 1846 rpm.
3. AC Power Supply Operation In the AC power generation mode, observe if the unit's AC power generation is normal; Insert the AC output cable into the external power socket of the aircraft and ensure that the plug and socket are tightly connected; According to the used output cable, press the corresponding AC output button, the power supply indicator light of the corresponding button lights up, and the Ground Power Units start to supply power externally; After the power supply is completed, press the corresponding AC output button again to stop the external power supply, the power supply indicator light of the corresponding button goes out; Store the AC output cable and cover the plug protection cover.
4. DC Power Supply Operation In the DC power generation mode, observe if the unit's DC power generation is normal; Insert the DC output cable into the external power socket of the aircraft and ensure that the plug and socket are tightly connected; Press the DC output button, the power supply indicator light of the corresponding button lights up, and the power vehicle starts to supply power externally; After the power supply is completed, press the corresponding DC output button again to stop the external power supply, the power supply indicator light of the corresponding button goes out; Store the DC output cable and cover the plug protection cover.
5. Engine Shutdown After the power supply operation is completed, click the engine control button, the engine will be in a low-speed cooling operation state, after the cooling is completed, set the main power switch to the OFF position, the engine stops, and after a delay, the main power is automatically turned off.
6. Emergency Operation When an emergency occurs, press the emergency shutdown switch, the unit can stop external power supply and stop operation. After the fault is resolved, rotate the button back to reset and reopen the main power of the power vehicle, and the engine can be restarted again.
7. Adding Fuel, Oil and Coolant 7.1 Adding Fuel The chassis and upper part of the Ground Power Units share a fuel tank, during use, closely monitor the changes in the fuel level gauge in the driver's cabin; The fuel tank is located on the right side of the power vehicle, remove the fuel tank cover, add the corresponding grade of diesel according to the ambient temperature; After fueling, cover the fuel tank cover.
7.2 Adding Oil Regularly check the engine oil quantity, before checking, the engine should be in a cold state; Remove the oil dipstick, check that the engine oil level is between the maximum and minimum marks of the oil dipstick; When the oil level is below the minimum mark line, add the required amount of oil through the oil filling port on the side of the engine.
7.3 Adding Coolant Regularly check the engine coolant level, observe the coolant level through the top observation window of the radiator, when observing that the coolant level is low, add the required coolant through the coolant filling port on the top of the vehicle. Do not remove the coolant filler cap while the engine is running or before it has cooled down. It is prohibited to add pure water to the cooling system.
